All proceeds from the 2024 Farm to Families event will benefit Loudon County families in need of affordable housing.

Our PHILOSOPHY

Loudon County Habitat builds new houses in partnership with low-income families, and then sells the houses to these families. Future homeowners are selected based on their need for housing, ability to repay an affordable mortgage, and their willingness to partner with Loudon County Habitat.

Through grants and other donations, Loudon County Habitat also makes critical repairs to the homes of elderly or disabled individuals, allowing them to stay safely in their own homes longer.

about us

  • Habitat for Humanity International was started in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller in south Georgia.

  • In 1984 former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, became Habitat’s most famous volunteers. Every year since then they have given one week of their time to help build houses during the Jimmy Carter Work Project.

  • Habitat has helped more than 4 million people around the world construct, renovate or preserve more than 800,000 houses since its founding.

  • Loudon County Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1992. Loudon County Habitat has completed 120 new homes and over 100 repair projects.

  • In 1995, the Restore opened in Lenoir City accepting donated goods to sell at a reasonable price to raise funds for the construction of homes.

  • The ReStore, located at 303 Simpson Road, raises enough each year to build at least two houses.
